FAQs

What is the Immigrant Service Providers Network?

The Immigration Service Providers Network is a coalition of service providers and community advocates of immigrants in the Greater St. Louis Area. Our mission is to increase collaboration by providing opportunities for education and outreach to unite organizations that support the foreign born and their families. We host a monthly meeting for service providers to come together, connect, and share information. We convene committees for individuals to collaborate on topic-specific network initiatives.

What does the ISPN do?

The ISPN is a one-stop hub for anyone providing services to foreign born and their families. Our coalition focuses on these key areas:

  • Networking among organizations serving immigrant and refugee individuals and their families

  • Educating service providers on relevant immigration laws and policies to assist them in better serving their clients

  • Supporting coordinated and collaborative efforts for increasing capacity within community resources

  • Promoting awareness of public, private and community organizations as well as resources for immigrant and refugee individuals and their families

How do I get involved in the ISPN?

ISPN hosts a monthly meeting, now virtually, that is open to all. The ISPN General Body Meeting is a space for service providers and immigrant community advocates to network and share information. Our virtual General Body Meeting is attended by approximately 50-60 individuals monthly. All meetings are currently being hosted virtually over Zoom. This meeting is held on the fourth Wednesday from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM.

Agencies and individuals who are interested in participating regularly in ISPN can become members of our network. Membership is open to all who are committed to addressing the issues related to foreign-born individuals and their families in our region. There are two tiers of membership: individual and agency level. Individual membership is an option for providers and community members who are not affiliated with an agency that is a member of ISPN.

Is the ISPN an agency/nonprofit organization?

ISPN is NOT a registered nonprofit organization. ISPN is a fiscally-sponsored coalition of service providers and community advocates of immigrants in the St. Louis Region. The Immigrant Home English Learning Program (IHELP) provides organizational support to ISPN.

Can I donate to the ISPN?

Yes! Your donation to ISPN is tax-deductible and supports the collaborative work of immigrant service providers. Visit our Donate page to make a donation.
