As of October 2021, the COVID-19 Vaccine Committee is no longer active.
Key deliverables of the committee include but are not limited to the following items:
Brought the Vaccine Tidbit portion of ISPN general meetings – Recruited Dr. Chris Prater to speak and advised him on relevant topics
Collected and disseminated multilingual vaccine information to providers - on our website, social media, committee emails, and Weekly Round-Up
Hosted two informational webinars and panels about the COVID-19 vaccine:
RRT collab - Making Sense of the COVID-19 Vaccine: Immigrant and Refugee Resources
Service Providers Committee collab- Lessons Learned about Vaccination Access for Immigrants in St. Louis
Facilitated collaboration between providers and vaccinators (opportunities staffed by pharmacies, clinics, local health departments)
Advised government officials and policymakers on making vaccine opportunities accessible to immigrants – conversations with health departments of St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Cori Bush’s office, FEMA, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services
Facilitated language access at mass vaccine opportunities – registered clients and staffed multiple St. Louis City mass vaccination events; pushed out partner events (IISTL, LifeWise STL, Puentes de Esperanza, etc.)
